Today's student life tips are all about doing your laundry! When you go to university it will be your responsibility to wash your clothes - watch the video below to find out how!
Hi, Tilly here and today I'll be showing you how to do your washing.
Firstly, start off by separating your whites and your mixed. You might find at university you don't have enough whites to put a wash on, so I would recommend saving your whites and putting on a big wash with your friends. You'll also save money.
Here is a list of laundry symbols which you will find useful. You can look at them here.
Now we will put the mixed load in. When you are putting your washing in you need to make sure it's not too full, and a way to check this is by putting your hand to the back. Put your pod in the drum or the powder in the drawer of the machine. For a wash like this, turn to "mixed load" which will be 40 degrees, but for your whites you may turn to "cotton" which is 60 degrees.
And that's it!
